About the Public Innovation Summer Scholars Program
The BCPI Summer Scholars program places talented and motivated JHU graduate students in partner cities to contribute to public innovation and civic engagement projects curated to inspire students’ passion for careers in government. The program runs for 10 weeks during the university’s summer break (June through August) and students receive a stipend and funds to cover travel costs to the host cities. BCPI identifies potential city partners, then works with cities to scope embedded projects that offer mutual benefit for host cities and JHU graduate students.
